Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Silky, buttery mashed potatoes that reheat beautifully.
Ingredients
- 3 lb russet or Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1/2–3/4 cup warm milk or cream
- Salt & pepper
- Optional: 2 oz cream cheese for extra richness
Instructions
- Place potatoes in cold salted water; bring to a boil and cook until very tender (15–20 min).
- Drain well; return to pot on low heat to steam off excess moisture 1–2 minutes.
- Mash with butter; add warm milk/cream until silky. Season generously with salt & pepper.
